The miracle cream that does it all

Hi guys! Okay, so I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been super busy, so please forgive my disappearing act- I’m back now! Today’s post is about another amazing La Roche Posay prodcut- seriously, can they do no wrong? I’ve been looking for a retinol cream to incorporate into my nighttime routine for a while now and I really wanted to try Redermic [R] by La Roche-Posay mainly because I’m pretty obsessed with there products right now, but my dermatologist also recommended it. I couldn’t find it in Dubai, so I ordered it online and started using it as soon as it got here- I’m smitten.

Retinol’s are great for anti-aging, preventing fine lines from forming, combatting present fine lines, evening skin tone, decreasing pigmentation… they’re pretty much a miracle in a little tube. A side bonus is they also reduce breakouts and help fight acne if you suffer from it. Miracle in a tube I tell you.

What It Is:

An anti-aging cream that works wonders and helps fight breakouts on the side.

The Lowdown:

  • helps reduce wrinkles
  • skin feels soft, lines are noticeable reduced
  • virtually no irritation
  • smooths skin texture & helps even skin tone
  • Lightweight, velvety, non-greasy texture that leaves skin radiant & luminous
  • With 0.1% Pure Retinol, the gold standard in treating wrinkles
  • milk white texture with a faintly-floral scent
  • leaves no residue, instantly absorbs into skin
  • costs about 56.99 USD for 30 ml
  • winner of Allure’s Best of Beauty Award

What’s In It:

  • retinol- duh (stimulates collagen & elastin)
  • retinyl linoleate (supports cell turnover & prevents buildup of dead skin cells)
  • lipo hydroxy acid (exfoliates skin)

If you’re over 30, a retinol should be a staple in you’re routine and you can start using it at any age, but I would say 25 and over is a good time to start unless you’re using it for acne purposes and then you can be using it much younger. If you have sensitive skin you can start by applying this every other night and building up to nightly. If you have dry skin, follow with your moisturizer. If you’re skin is oily, you can just apply this solo at night.

When applying a retinol make sure your face is clean and prepped, and completely dry (extremely important). It will absorb better into your skin and do it’s job better if your skin isn’t damp and is completely dry. Also, be sure to use SPF in the day because it does make your skin sensitive to sunlight and you’ll burn more easily. If you’re going away or spending some time at the beach, it’s probably wise to stop using it until you’re spending less time in sunshine.

Hope everyone has a great day!
